Situation
Our telecommunication client's technology organization was unable to complete nearly 70% of their budgeted yearly projects due to a wide variety of factors including inadequate processes, hiring, communications and training.
Action
We identified the key contributing factors and facilitated process engineering changes. We also developed hiring criteria and training programs to improve budgeting accuracy and created a communications plan to explain the new training and processes to internal audiences.
Result
Project implementation has significantly improved with the new training and processes in place. All four of the objectives for the learning and growth quadrant of their balanced scorecard were successfully met.
